NX CAM Upgrade

Training Duration: 1 Day

 

Who Should Attend:

Manufacturing Engineers, CAD/CAM Engineers

Course Objective:​

This course will provide information and exercises that introduce the newest version of NX that is released.  It will cover skills and concepts central to the use of NX and proper utilization of these new features.

Prerequisite:

- Windows Experience.

- Need to familiar with the manufacturing basic course (ie. NX Manufacturing Fundamentals, NX Multi –axis Milling or NX Turning Manufacturing Processes)

NX Manufacturing Fundamentals

Training Duration: 4 Days

Who Should Attend:

Manufacturing Engineers, CAD/CAM Managers, NC/CNC Programmer

Course Objective:​

Designed to expedite the student learning experience in the generation of toolpaths for 2 and 3-axis milling and drilling applications. As with each course developed and taught by Siemens PLM Software professionals, this class reinforces Siemens PLM's intimate knowledge of software's developments and instructs the students based on the underlying principles incorporated within the NX product suite.

Prerequisite:

- Windows Experience.

- General CNC machining knowledge

- Completion of Essentials for NX Designers is recommended.

NX Multi-axis Milling 

Training Duration: 3 Days

Who Should Attend:

Manufacturing Engineers, CAD/CAM Managers, Multi-axis NC/CNC Programmer, Users of 3,4 and 5-axis machines for milling complex Prismatic and contour type parts are encouraged to attend

Course Objective:​

Designed for NC/CNC programmers who machine simple or complex parts with fixed and variable tool capabilities. Students will learn how to create fixed and variable axis tool paths. You will also be introduced to NX workflows for machining contoured parts, high-speed machining methods, milling holes and threads, milling turbine blade type parts, and on machine probing.

Prerequisite:

- Window Experience

- Completion of NX Manufacturing Fundamentals

- Understanding of CNC programming principles and manual 3, 4 & 5 axis CNC programming methods & procedures.

NX Wire EDM Manufacturing Processes

Training Duration: 1 Day

Who Should Attend:

Manufacturing Engineers, CAD/CAM Managers, Wire cut machinist

Course Objective:​

The Wire EDM module provides complete NC/CNC programming functionality for wire EDM machinery. Included are internal and external trim, no core, open profile, optional cutoff and backburn operations, 4 axis solid/wireframe.

Prerequisite:

- Participant needs to have a basic understanding of WEDM process and a working knowledge of NX modeling & manufacturing

NX Turning Manufacturing Processes

Training Duration: 3 Days

Who Should Attend:

Manufacturing Engineers, CAD/CAM Managers, Turning machinist

Course Objective:​

Designed to convey concepts, functionality, and application of the turning module. Turning Manufacturing Process is taught from the perspective of an NC/CNC programming session and emphasizes programming concepts and techniques which take advantage of the latest developments in turning equipment and technology.

Prerequisite:

- Window Experience

- Completion of NX Manufacturing Fundamentals

- Completion of Essentials for Designers

- Understanding of CNC programming principles about turning.
